Welcome to the Frontier District

The Frontier District comes from a rich and long history, reaching as far back as 1968. In 1995, three of the Council's districts, Silvercloud, Rampart, and High Plains were combined into a single district and the FRONTIER District was born!  Its borders reached from the western mountain foothills all the way to the Kansas border. With the ongoing construction of Falcon Air Force Base, later renamed Schriever AFB, it was a time of huge population growth in the eastern areas. Construction east of Rangewood was booming and continued east past Powers, giving life to several communities in the Falcon and Banning Lewis areas, so the name of "Frontier" was certainly a fitting description for the newly established district!  High Plains District later split off again and in 2014 the Powers and Falcon corridors of the High Plains District, comprising approx. 40 units, were realigned into the Frontier District.

Today, the Frontier District is proud to serve the youth of 111 units in Colorado Springs School District 11 and Falcon School District 49, along with a few home-schooled units. We enjoy and appreciate the support of so many great volunteers who bring honor and quality to the various programs we offer as we strive to live up to the timeless values and the high standards of the Boy Scouts of America.
