CAMP ALEXANDER

NEW AND IMPROVED

BEAVER WORK WEEK

MAY 27 THRU JUNE 1

 

 

 

 

WHAT:  An opportunity to help get Camp Alexander ready for the 2019 summer camping season.  The first troops arrive on Sunday, 2 June, and there is lots of work to do before then.

WHERE:  Camp Alexander, Lake George, CO.

WHO:  Leaders, parents, neighbors, scouts, and any other able-bodied workers are welcome.  Children are also welcome with proper adult supervision.

WHEN:  Any time during the week of 27 May-1 June (Monday-Saturday).  If you come for more than one day, you’re welcome to stay in a camp tent in one of the campsites.

WORK PROJECTS:  Work projects may include, but are not limited to:

         Clearing and grooming camp trails          Scraping and painting buildings

         Preparing troop campsites                      Replacing light fixtures       

         Cleaning drainage ditches                      Cleaning out clogged culverts

         Organizing material in maintenance yard          Clearing down limbs and brush

         Washing windows                                   General camp and building clean-up

FOOD:  The camp will furnish lunch for everyone each day.  If you stay overnight, the camp will also provide breakfast and dinner in the Dining Hall.
