ONE Year Candidate Eligibility. All leaders are reminded that their OA Candidates have 1 year eligibility from the date of the ELECTION not the date of the CALLOUT. Any candidate who does not complete their Ordeal prior to the 1 year anniversary of their election, must be re-elected the following year and must again meet the eligibility requirements including the camping nights. Adults have 1 year from the date their application is approved by the Lodge Selection Committee.
Apply for Camping Promotions Unit Recognition Ribbon - The National Order of the Arrow has created a ribbon to recognize those units that truly understand the importance of the unit summer camp experience. To qualify a unit simply needs to submit a letter to the OA Lodge stating that the number of Scouts in the Unit, the number that attended summer camp with the Troop and that they had 60% or more of their scouts attend an organized Boy Scout Summer Camp. The Lodge will contact your unit to make the presentation.
Do you have OA Questions? Check our website: http://oa.pikespeakbsa.org for answers about the OA, our Lodge, our functions, or procedures. You can send us an email or call Mike Caruthers, the Lodge Adviser, at 591-6505 or contact Wendy Shaw, the Staff Adviser, at the Council Office for speedy resolution of your problems.
