The 2012 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) will be one the most memorable Scouting experiences you will ever have. NOAC 2012 will be held at Michigan State University from July 30 through August 4, 2012 and is projected to be one of the largest in the Order’s history with more than 8,000 Arrowmen slated to attend.
NOAC will feature a number of unique events, including national ceremonies, drum, and dance Competitions, evening shows, the OA history museum, and awesome recreational competitions such as soccer, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee. Highlights include the Founder’s Day festivities, the Foudner’s Day Parade, the Grand Hodag, and the inter-Region dodge ball battle.
Arrowmen can participate in service projects, high adventure opportunities, leadership training, American Indian Activities, and much more. While enjoying the various activities, Scouts will have a great time meeting new brothers and sharing their experiences with people from around the nation.
Our lodge will be sending a contingent to NOAC 2012 and you don’t want to miss out.

There will be a NOAC 2012 Information/Registration meeting this Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at 7PM at the Council Scout Office. This event will provide you and your parents the opportunity to ask NOAC Contingent Leaders questions and get registered for NOAC 2012. We expect the total fee including transportation and the conference fee to be about $750. So bring your $100.00 deposit and your questions and become part of the exceptional experience that is NOAC 2012.

Upcoming Events
1. Fun Weekend is February 17 to 19 at Camp Alexander. We have about 20 signed up with 14 climbers. We have room for 40 climbers and now have upper and lower Elks. Sign up today on the council website or use the link on the lodge website.
2. General Membership Meeting, March 14th North Jr High. This program needs to be great since we are trying something new. No Brotherhood Ceremony and the meeting will run to about 8:30PM (1.5 hours). We should have time for more fun and time to clean without the pressure of a ceremony in the park.
3. Section Conclave will be at Peaceful Valley on April 20-22. We are having planning meetings every two weeks and our lodge is responsible for the Training Classes on Saturday AM. Colton Hoff is CVC for Training and Ben Peterson is his adviser. We hope to set the price on the 22nd and be ready to start registration before Feb 1. OUR GUESS is it will be $35 and if our Lodge discounts it to $25 it should be affordable and reasonably close
Wednesday January 11 our first Brotherhood class took place. A total of 15 people came out. Everyone had a great time learning the steps to earn Brotherhood in a concise one-hour class. If you missed this class don’t worry. We will be offering a couple classes throughout the next several months. Our upcoming class will be held at 6:00 PM on March 7 at the Scout office. By taking the Brotherhood class you will earn a 50% off discount for your Brotherhood fees. In addition, we will offer candy such as M&Ms, Snickers, and Skittles to make your time more enjoyable.

Fall Weekend
We had a great Fall Fellowship Weekend. We had a total of 190 Scouts and Scouters in attendance.We added 79 new ordeal members and 21 Members affirmed their membership in the lodge by gaining their brotherhood status. After this weekend our lodge has surpassed is brotherhood conversion goal.
